Deokcheon Village(Cheongsong)
This village has been known as “The Village of Loyalty and filial piety” with 600 years of history.
This is the hometown of Cheongsong Sim Clan. Deokcheon Village is with back to the mountain and facing the water and has lots of lotuses. There are Songso Historic House which has 99 rooms and also is called Simbujadaek House. There are also Soryujeong Pavilion and more other monuments designated as Important Cultural Heritage by the government. There are Cheongsong Uibyeongdaejang which is designated as a Cultural Heritage by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Folk Cultural Heritage and Masterpiece Heritage Houses, and also Hanok stay has been being run.
With other 20 popular tourist sites in Farming and Fishing villages in Korea, our village has been designated as an International Slow City Village, and there are many experience programs such as riding a bicycle, taking a walk on trails, and etc.
